Artas, has know-how and cooperation agreements with international companies and installed biogas storage tanks and flares to Kayseri and Diyarbak›r metropolitan municipalities’ wastewater treatment plants. Biogas, coming from waste sludge of wastewater treatment plant and/or solid waste regular storage, with high methane content is collected in special Gas Holders having a membrane covered floating ceiling against gas leakage. Depending on the feasibility methane can be used for energy generation and excess gas is burned via ‘flares’.

Artas design flue gas treatment and desulphurization plants to treat flue gas coming from oil burning boilers or solid waste burning plants according to Air Pollution Control Regulations.

Thus, flue gas is economically treated with an efficiency up to 99%, requires low space for installation and easy to maintain. Horizontal and vertical type flue gas washers are determined based on the features of the gas to be treated, space and energy requirements. All gas treatment plants and equipments/instruments are manufactured as corrosion resistant. Artas provides packaged solutions with reuse of treated water coming from wastewater treatment facility and recovery of flue gas energy at these flue gas treatment and desulphurization plants.
